insx: This can't mess up your Market. This only deletes the Market Updater, which updates the Android Market (now Google Play) to the latest version. Your tablet probably never had the Market/Play Store, and instead only had the Market Updater.
This solution probably doesn't work on newer tablets, and I don't own a Scroll anymore (I now own a Nexus 7) so I can't help - sorry!

I've had working market for ages but I lost my tablet for a while and when I found it again, market had started giving me the network error. I couldn't do this fix because market/updater where not appearing in the application list. So I resorted to Astro but just uninstalled it altogether. I've managed to install market again but it still won't work.
