And does this completely kill the cell services etc ?

So we dont need the plane mode / apndroid app anymore ?

that's what i am testing (also areoalex & pwilko123 are too, i think)

I have uninstalled the plane and apndroid apps and seeing how bat life is now the 3 phone related apk's are not running.

I wonder what is wrong with mine then... with APNDroid and Plane mode running its still seems to be eating the battery very quickly, Im hoping its just a bad reading.. it seems to be fluctuating a lot depending on what Im doing, rather than just showing the current level

I found the accuracy of the reading to be very random at times.

Just charge it up over night, then use it normally, but constantly, and see how many hours you get.

The readings are not that actuate - plus its a percentage of use over time - it does not mean that it is always using say 65% of bat power - it was just the most used item compared the the others on the list over the period the scroll was unplugged, it does depend what you are doing with the scroll at the time.

Yea thats what I have done, was on charge all yesterday and lastnight, been on since 10am, using it normally with plane mode and apndroid running and only browsed the market, listened to 3 or 4 minutes of music, played 2 or 3 minutes of angry birds and down to about 45%... but dropped into the red while the music was on

Im reading it from a widget I installed which gives a % of battery left

We really need something that reads the Real battery level, not something that guesses depending on what you are using at that time

Any chance you could stick your Firmware ver in your rather huge signature?

Nice one.

Hopefully the new Firmware may address some issues.

Everyone should email storage options with issues, they seem quite responsive for now.

The only problem with new firmwares is that they may find ways to stop us rooting / flashing new ROMs

But I agree, emailing Storage Options is a good plan

EDIT - Ok I emailed them with the battery drain issue, and the lack of calibration option on v1.01 firmware

I know they cant do anything about the battery, but if we all complain about it, they might think again about 2.2 upgrades
