If screen protectors are what many users want, I would be willing to bulk buy maybe 10 or 20 decent ipad screen protectors and i'll cut each one to a perfect size to fit the scroll. I did this for mine, and it's perfect. The ipad protector cost me £4.99 and about 10 mins to mark out and cut to size. Not sure if there's any demand for this though, plus you guys could buy cheaper chinese ones on ebay and cut them yourselves if you like (although no idea of quality). Reply on here if you would be interested and if so, i'll do a poll to gauge the demand.

@ Stu

Might be interested, did you cut the holes for the buttons too?

What about making a template in a pdf or similar format that we could print out - then we could use it to cut any screen protector?

Yeah I cut out the holes and everything. No replies about this yet so not looking like worth me doing.
I could do a pdf template I guess... again though, whos interested? My one I made by tracing the outline of the film protecting the screen originally. Worked a treat.

nice one - i never thought of that - :oops:

(strange how the little things, that make a big difference can go unnoticed.)

Well my stock screen protector was looking in a pretty sorry state, scratches etc, screen was not looking too clear anymore - so I took it off.

I have to say, now the sensitivity of the touch screen, and the clarity of the picture now has improved 10 fold

I barely have to touch the screen now to move things, scroll, press on apps, really sensitive like a touch screen should be - and the picture looks like I have just cleaned a dirty window, very clear and sharp and no blurry text anymore :D

The scroll itself looks more expensive now too, perfect shiny finish on the screen and surround

I just hope that it is made of a tougher plastic than the protector was.

I'd certainly be interested in a screen protector, if the idea of buying a batch in and resizing is still an option? I'm just so clumsy with sharp things!

@Detection

Thanks for the nice write up - Please let us know what the screen condition is like after a few days use. Cheers

Yea I will do, there is a layer of very easy to wipe off sticky left on the screen which at first touch feels like the screen is harder to use - but a quick wipe with a soft cloth and its as smooth as glass

I bought an iPad screen guard from the pound shop for a 10" screen. It costs, guess what? a pound. It says it protects LCD screens from scratches and dents. It also has a cleaning cloth and a plastic scraper for smoothing out bubbles. If Stu could put the template on a pdf it would be really helpful but at a pinch if I cut it short of the buttons I just might squeeze 2 out of it. I am finding it difficult to get the old protector off the screen though, would it do any harm if I put a hairdryer on it to soften it up?
