On the subject of screen rotation, I noticed that the logcat output you sent to fun a while back showed some sensor driver activity (although the "g_sensor_fd:-1" looks a bit suspicious to me - an invalid file desciptor), but when I boot the 16/June version of CM7 it's showing an error as follows when it tries to start the driver :-

Were you using the cherrypad driver at the time, or the 2.1 sensor.tcc92xx.so file, or the original CM7 version or ... ?

Have you tried the updated version or are you still using the 14/june release?

I'm baffled as to how the Cherrypad firmware ever worked as the sensor chip seems to be completely different (BMA020 as opposed to the Scroll's BMA220).

I don't want to discuss it with fun at the moment as I'm still trying to get to grips with Android's hardware abstraction interface, and I know he's up to his eyes in it. It's a pity we don't have stock images from a 2.3 scroll yet. I'd like to have a look at its sensor library to see if it's different from the 2.1 file.

hi ya eddie, i tried all different combos, with the sensor files, i think that was the scroll rom before the latest, i also done for the latest rom sys info for him, from both cherry and scroll, even as both are small, i modded them myself and got rid of everthing i didnt need, ie phone, bluetooth, absolutly everything lol sensors still didnt work on the scroll, yet they did on the cherry, it wasnt so laggy as i'd got rid of so much lol, although i guess when i put loads of stuff on there it will, i read onthese forums about them being the same, so i looked at the cherry website and yes on most things they are the same, i never thought about the inside stuff tho, oh sorry i was using the original cm7 sensor file, i havnt got a 2.1 file, iv tried everything i can think off, which wasnt much, :-]

oops. strange... your log is from non-modified my 0616 image for Scroll 7"?

by the way, I'm busy, nothing can be done so quickly.

Sorry, I got the date wrong. It should have been 2011/6/19 (i.e. the latest version) and it's not modified. I've just reloaded from scratch and it still gives the same error.

by the way, I'm busy, nothing can be done so quickly.

That's what I meant when I said " ... I know he's up to his eyes in it". It's an English figure of speech, meaning "he's very busy"
