How do you default the device?

Hi there,

I followed the procedure in the manual to reset to factory settings by going Settings->Privacy->Reset and when i click on erase all, it just seems to turn off the tablet. When i turn it back on, it does not appear to have reset anything. All of my emails are still in Gmail and any apps i installed are still present. Anybody have any ideas?

Many thanks
Jay.

Just to update this post, I have received a reply from Storage Options and apparently you need to plug in the device to mains power while carrying out the above procedure (haven't tried it yet but will when i get back and update).

Further update

I have followed the above procedure to reset to factory settings with power plugged in and can confirm that it does work. Hope this helps somebody else as it is not obvious from the manual. The only thing is when it reboots you have to go through the setup wizard to setup a Google account but you will not have an internet connection as wireless settings will have been deleted. If you click on skip and on the next screen press the Home button on the bottom of the tablet to reach the home screen, you can then go into settings and configure the wireless connection and re-install the market app. When you then open the market app you will be asked to either sign into your Google account or create a new one.
