USB mouse

Postby aeroalex » January 5th, 2011, 6:41 pm

I had a thought and plugged in a USB mouse! It worked but a cursor doesn't appear so you don't know where your clicking! I had a look around the internet and other have done this with different tablets, and cursors have appeared when they plugged in a mouse!

Just a thought :)

Yea it definitely is an input, of a sort, but it is selecting everything you move the mouse across

Looks like it would work better with arrow keys on the scroll keyboard accessory

I think the issue with the mouse is that the correct drivers arent installed

The driver is already there. There is just no pointer because android doesn't really need one...

I've had a couple of tablets that provided a cursor as soon as a USB mouse was plugged in, which is very helpful if you are developing and the touch screen isn't set up properly. I was quite surprised that this didn't happen on the Scroll Essential, but I'm starting to get used to that now :)
