Good morning,

On investigation we believe this issue is due to changes with the coding of the Android marketplace.

We are currently working on a new version of the firmware for Scroll which will soon be available for download from our website.

In addition we have suggested a number of alternatives on our websites which may help you in the mean time.

Thanks for supporting Storage Options

Looks like a new firmware may be coming soon :)

I'll ask Mike to join here too, would be nice to have a staffer on board.

A new firmware would be nice if it fixes the lack of calibration on v1.01

I have just noticed a comment in the current issue of Web Use (issue 256) that links in with this in the "We Don't Like Section"

"Though Android is a fine operating system, both developers and Android users know that Android Marketplace desperately need an overall to fix bugs that prevent may apps from downloading properly"

Be good to test this new firmware when it's out. Miss the android marketplace :-)

As I side note, and not to derail this topic. I noticed before xmas that the Marketplace crap's out from time to time then is unusable without removing and reinstalling the market enabler or removing userdata for the app.

To get around this I totally removed "user data" for the market then removed the market totally.

Re-installed market enabler but did not launch the market.

Downloaded the 'AppsBrain - Market App' which effectively is their own syndication with links to either the official marketplace or web links to apk's.

Once done, I've not had to launch the market place directly to install (although it is obviously used for some apps downloads). I've also turned off app notifications for updates.

The above mileage may vary but it worked for me.

Firmware 0.94

I think that is on the install screen before you commit to install the app

Forgot to add, the notifications can be entered into the settings on the official market app (just do it last). Or you can go into settings and disable software update notifications (does the same thing)
