Hi

Just bought a scroll and keyboard case from Maplin. Had to replace the case a it was doa.

Must adit to being pretty impressed with the scroll so far, and even managed to install apps from the market till it stoped working.

I was an avid Sharp Zaurus user for years and so hope to be able to get going on the scroll with all the things I used to be able to do.

One question though. I also have an android phone. Is there a way to tether to it using wifi?
I can do so from my laptop but heard that android will not recognise an adhoc wifi hotspot?

Anyway. Good forum, lots of good tips, have already rooted, dephoned and updated my build.prop by following the posts

Cheers C.

Hi & welcome to the madhouse,

The scroll is a good bit of kit for the money. Sounds like you have done a lot to it so far. :D

It is hit and miss with the keyboard cases, just one of those things.

There is a market fix - take a look here - viewtopic.php?f=27&t=615

Sorry I can not help with the other questions, there is a 'work in progress' on those, here in the forum. (a quick search & you will find them)

Enjoy.

P.S. - If you add your scroll info in your signature on the forum it will help you and us.

Its true, there is no AD-HOC support in Android 2.1 - So you will need to either find a proper access point, or try get your phone to throw out a normal wireless access point signal

Wohoo

Just got Market running again.

Bit of a trek but worth it. Might b an idea to rate the complexity of some of these hacks as I wouldnt like to tackle that as noob to android and linux

All working now
