New scroll user

Hi
Got my second scroll today after having to return first one a few weeks ago, due to graphics problems in some games.

Turns out its "Normal". its the problem with games like angry birds bits missing etc

I did find that it came with google market on the nand memory and that the supplied file installer found it and i installed it. Seems to work and I can even download my paid for app's that I got for my motorola Defy.

I do like the screen on it has better viewing angles than the advent vega I had to return.
Also the first one i had was always buffering youtube video's yet this one runs no problems very strange.

I find that charging via the power supply gives a flash reading on the battery meter, but charge it on the usb port and its fine so far.

UPDATE Got up this morning with the scroll still on charge and its still only showing 70 odd percent.
Done firmware update and hopefully it might charge, only problem now is the turn on lock screen no longer gives the percent of charge?

btc5000: Welcome to the forum.

The battery indicator on the scroll seems to be more of a "drain indicator". For example, with your scroll on, enable the wifi connection, then observe the batt indicator - it will drop faster as you would expect because wifi uses more power. Now, disable wifi and youll probably see the indicator go up a notch or two - indicating that less current is being drawn from the battery.

There was a battery indication issue on V1.00 of the firmware that was solved with a firmware update (the 1.02 update on the SO website is only supposed to be applied to V1.00 units). How long have you charged the unit for at one time? Might not be long enough.

Hi
Thanks for the information.
I have found that raging thunder 2 lite does not work as the motion of the tablet goes bonkers when moved, but it works with doodle jump?
Not yet tried raging thunder.

sky force reloaded works but not using motion just finger
Blow Up works
Andexplorer and blackmore file browser
not got much more on yet.

I have noticed it goes up and down too depending on whats it doing.
I have batterylife on mine but again that just goes up and down etc

getting a bit fed up with battery as I understand what you are saying but when it claims 96% when charged yet leave it on a few mins without wifi on and it drops to 75% odd.

Well a least I still have my Moto Defy to use lol.

I have tried to open this but found it hard to get the front off? as I kow its not going to be a great machine, but i would like to see whats inside.

Cheers
