Posted: March 9th, 2011, 3:03 pmNot a user yet but after a brief demo at Maplins I've put in an order today* for a 7" Scroll which I'm hoping will be delivered some time soon!
I've been trolling on the forum for a while picking up some useful info for optimising the tablet: it's a great resource for the new user and the community seems really friendly. Hopefully I'll be able to make some contribution myself in future.
I'm intending to use the Scroll as a laboratory notebook in my workplace: I've been using an aging Dell Axim X51 PDA (which I physically sync with a windows PC) to add data to various .xls spreadsheets, but the WM Excel clone is exceptionally limiting and I'm hoping something like Documents To Go on the larger screen of the Scroll will work better for me. Also I'm hoping to set up a wireless network in the lab with a NAS for transferring files between the Scroll, my various instruments and my office computer, so I'll probably be posting up some networking questions once I've sourced the hardware. I'd be interested to know if anyone else is using their Scroll for any other specific application.
