Possible Gingerbread on scroll

Postby will8578 » June 7th, 2011, 9:50 am

Hello everyone, i have found two threads that are very interesting, the first is on the xda developers forums, a dev called Fun is trying to port unofficial cyangenmod on to telechips tablets: here is the link:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1101094

the second link is to the developing thread where all the action is and they need help:

http://androtab.info/telechips/firmwares

on both the scroll is on the to do list, maybe someone here can help. :)

Interesting.....

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

hello Mitre, i seen this also, didnt quite understand, does that mean he wants a donation to do it, i also seen this thread ; viewtopic.php?f=15&t=458 , is this the same person?

i wish i was a developer because as you know on xda, you get tons of devs, but from my short experience, doesnt seem much dev support on here.

Alright everyone, if you look on the link above, the Androtab link, there is a flashable cm7 zip for our scroll, i currently have it running, boots up, signed into my account, working market, wifi working,, callabration working, angrybirds rio graphics run smoothly like normal, only problem at the moment is the sd card dismounts, well for me anyway.. :D

Even more interesting.....

Can I ask what firmware version your Scroll was on originally? Not sure why the sd card dismounts, I know with mobile phones its advisable to format the card in a pc then reinsert it after a firmware upgrade (saving your stuff beforehand of course) so that the OS can rewrite the SD card how it needs to and doesnt have any rubbish on it from the old OS.

it was originally 1.01, it could be that iv formatted it with minitools pc so there's a ext4 and 64mb swap, and i was going to try dark tremors a2sd to see if it could speed it up, for some reason it hasnt worked, ie hasnt created the partitions properly, but to be honest its fast as it is without all that, i'll try wiping the card and then see if its ok, thanks for your help

nah its not the sd card fault, to do with the rom itself i think, hopefully it can be fixed, normal angrybirds works flawlessly on there to, i can use adb to push the files i want in there, untill it gets fixed, if it does, happy with it at the moment tho...
