Woe is me

Postby redshift21 » June 24th, 2011, 3:33 pm

Hi everybody..... sorry I came over all Dr Nick then :D

I'm new to the Scroll and new to android so maybe the problems I'm suffering are are down to me being a klutzy windows user (don't hate me but I really like windows.... I know I'm a sick man), anyway I bought myself a scroll to use on the dire train ride into work each morning but so far it has let me down big style, I've put some FLV's and PDF's on an SD card and loaded into the scroll (once I'd worked out you have to push it right in to get it to latch  ) anywho when I try to watch the videos they play for a few second (about 25 to 30 usually) and then they freeze, then when I try to navigate away I can't I have to go to the home page.... why won't they play properly ?

With PDF's it's worse, I've activated the Adobe program provided but when I open it, it does not find the anything on the SD card ?

I'm at me wits end with this bloody thing and about ready to bin it and buy an ipad like the guy I sit next to in work, I didn't want to shell out for an ipad because I'm only gonna use this thing for the train to and from work, if I can't get ti working right I may start to use it as a coaster or to wedge a wobbly table

HELP!!!!!!

Correct: the Adobe program does not recognise the sd card.

So, install a file manager (eg AndExplorer), then use that to go to the directory with your pdf's, click the pdf which you want to open, and Scroll will either open the pdf with Adobe, or give you the option of opening with another reader.

Dave

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!
