Battery/ battery indicator

Postby beachbum » August 17th, 2011, 11:24 am

I have searched for any other topics re this problem and haven't found any.
I've already had to return my Scroll because of a major board fail some 6 weeks after purchasing it and now, some 6 weeks after that repair, I've another problem.
The battery indicator is constantly moving from empty to full, despite the unit being charged up overnight. Sometimes, when it shows empty, it switches itself off. Other times it keeps moving as if it was still attached to the charger and charging, which it isn't.
I've tried factory reset and I've tried usb charging with no change.
I'm hoping there is a fix out there otherwise I shall be demanding a refund!

The android battery indicator is not the best in the world anyway IMHO. Ill have a look round for a poss solution for you overnight and post the result in the morning.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

I don't think there is a fix for this problem - according to the support guys at Storage Options - it's another 'return to base' for repair/replace.
Because this is the 2nd major fail in 5 months, my supplier has agreed to take it back and refund the cost.
Such a shame as this seemed such a nice tablet but I've got to have something more reliable.
