Your device isn't compatible with this item-HELP!!

My boyfriend bought me the 8" scroll 51951 special edition for xmas, with android 2.3 and 8gb flash memory.
I'm still getting used to it but I'm having a real problem with certain apps on the market. I firstly tried to download angry birds, but up popped the message "Your device isn't compatible with this item". We thought it could be a memory problem so we put in a 2gb micro sd card. Tried again and the game still doesn't work. Iv successfully downloaded smaller games and they work fine. I've just bought a book off the android market and went to open it but it needs the google books app to read it. I went to install it and I got the device compatibilty message again. Just about all the apps I want to install won't work and it's really annoying me! Is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?? Im new to all this so if I've missed info let me know!

Hi and welcome to the forum
use the search button and search for "market fix" theres been a few posts on this subject
you could always search for the (app name).apk in google and dowload it to your scroll then side load it that way

If you search the web for a few minutes you can even find ways to access the American Amazon.com Appstore - some of them are even fully legal They work too EDIT: They do violate Amazon's Terms & Conditions mind you - your liability if you try them.

Hmmm...I've read alot of the previous posts on "market fix" and my boyfriend has spent a good few hours working on the problem as he's better with the technical stuff, but still we haven't found a solution.
We tried downloading the apps from google and that didn't work. I have android 2.3 on my netbook so we tried downloading off the market and then transfering onto the tablet, but that didn't work. It's so frustrating!!
I've yet to try your suggestions Peter so I'll let you know if they work!
