SD Card not be recognised

Help needed please - I have read numerous posts on this but non of them seem to answer my specific problem.

When I insert my 16g SD card the Scroll does not recognise that it has been inserted - on this forum it says that is should and that the card should then be formatted???

If I go into File Manager I can see the SD card there and the files on it etc - but these can't be viewed via Gallery.

Why would this be? Is it because its not formatted correctly?? How do I get the Scroll to recognize the SD card when I insert it??

Have you formatted it as fat32 just to see if it will work and looked at the storage settings on the device.

Try putting a file on it like TEST.TEST get a terminal emulator and use ls /sdcard, ls /sdcard-ext or ls /sdcard/tflash
to see if it shows its self, Whats the output of df look like may give you a clue.
