Remove desktop item

Hi
I accidently placed a google map routes shortcut on my desktop which is no good to me.
Does anyone know how i can remove it from the desktop ?

Also the manual which comes with the Scroll is very limited, is there a more comprehensive manual available ?

hi there

just hold your finger on the icon and the menu tab changes to a trash can, just drag it to the trash
