HDMI connection to TV

HI Just got a used Extreme yesterday ive connected it 2 different HDTV,s using the cable supplied which was in its sealed packet ive selected the correct HDMI input on the TV but nothing comes through on one TV and the other just says NO Signal is there anything else i can do or am i doing something wrong.

I don't know about your Extreme but on my Excel I have to make a hot connection.
I set the TV up on HDMI, set my tablet up to whatever I want it to do i.e. streaming or video player and then hot connect to my TV. Sounds awful I know but it works every time. If I set it all up first and then boot the tablet or whatever, if often says NO SIGNAL.. Beats me why but this is my heath robinson workaround.
