No video Since I dropped it

Postby jimbo » February 22nd, 2013, 3:47 pm

I dropped my Scroll Excel on a tyled floor and since then I can't display any video. everything else seems fine, except there is black where there should be a movie.
Then just when I was about to give up, it worked for 2 mins and stopped again.

Clearly I've disturbed something inside. I've opened the back and proded and wiggled any connectors, but no joy.

Anybody got any ideas?

That seems strange if the screen is working fine for everything else, you sure that the issue is not a badly encoded video for the tablet (even tho' it might be fine on a PC, that does not mean it will be ok on a tablet) - Plus the 1st Excel mode was very fussy about what videos it would play.

Saying all that it could be the external SDcard has become dislodged. - If you have the video on there, try re-inserting it and/or put the video on the internal SD memory.

Seems a hardware problem. Video/utube etc all the same.
Also run I run the startup diagnostics and that say video failed..

Oh,that is not great at all, sorry to hear that. Did the screen not get damaged? - Usually it's that and the corners that suffer the most from a drop.
