This downloads as a zip file. Do itreat this as a .apk file. Copy to dropbox on pc. open dropbox on scroll and just click file to install it?

i downloaded it to my pc and it is a APK file then copied it to my sd card i have posted the zip to you containing the APK just open the zip to see the APK.

Think i'm gonna give up on this. I've downloaded the file, rechecked the site a couple of times and it only gives me the option to download youtube.zip

You are having this issue, because you still have the old files for youtube on the scroll, you will need to delete then all about 3-4 before you can install a new youtube.apk - There is a posts on how to do it on the forum, or many videos on 'YouTube' where people are showing you how to do it.

Done a bit of searching here and there and found in settings/applications/manage applications something like com.google. youtube which my speed reading had missed. Uninstalled this reinstalled new version you gave me and hey presto, we got lift off. Thanks for having patience with this old noob lol.
