Can't reboot after v1.02 install

Just phoned S.O. tech support (reply to my email arrived during call - typical). Phone picked up really quickly, polite friendly chap, no flannel.

This is not a problem they have seen before. There is no way of rolling back to the previous firmware so they recommend doing factory reset from recovery menu (which I have already tried numerous times).

If that doesn't resolve problem, return to reseller (Maplins) or complete an RMA form and courier the unit to their HQ in Harrogate.

Before I do that (this evening) - has anyone else on firmware v1.02 experienced their Scroll hanging before the 'Welcome' screen?

It seems a few people have had this problem. I updated mine to 1.02 but before i did so i had CWM installed (back up / restore system)

I got a reply from Storage Options also saying I should try a factory reset, this hasn't worked so I've sent it back to Maplin for a replacement & I won't be updating that one (if they send a replacement that is)!

Typically Maplin are now out of stock of this item online and not expecting any new stock until the 21st of March!

Try your local Maplin store, have they got any?

Yep I have the same problem, loaded new firmware and now can't get past scroll logo screen. Doesn't mater how many times reload or reboot still same problem.
Bought on Friday, now to be returned on Sunday, and yes it also came from Maplins.
Only upgraded firmware as device kept loosing its registration with the Market, so I thought the F/W upgrade may help that problem, instead it has given me a bigger one, no toy to play with.
