What broswer does the scroll use?

Postby sampace » February 21st, 2011, 4:43 pm

Hi,

I would like to know what broswer this device runs on so I can determine weather or not to test one out.

We currently run web pages on a HP iPAQ 114 but the browser for that is Internet Explorer, so I'd like to know what the scroll runs on please if possible?

Thanks for your help

Welcome to the madhouse! (er... I mean forum)

Interesting question.... as far as I know its just the one shipped with android 2.1, not sure what its based on (might be chrome?). Ive done a quick google, and thats all I can find. When I open a webpage with the browser and check the page info it doesnt appear to be identified as anything.
However, I have found references on t'net about an android app called "user agent switcher" which apparently allowed to browser to be identified as whatever you wished (IE, Firefox etc.). The app has been recently updated but is not, for some reason, available on the market.
Sorry I cant be of much assistance at the mo, bit busy at work. I'll have another look later and see if I can come up with some more info. Someone else might jump in and answer before I update this post.

Employees are like mules. Some you stand in front of and coax them along with a carrot. Some you stand behind and kick them in the arse. The key to management is knowing which mules are which!

Thanks for answering me back!

Right right, so I think the answer I'm looking for really is if there is an option to select "work" rather than "internet" when connecting the wireless. On the iPAQ this then allows me to enter a specific user's credentials from active directory which I can then access the intranet we have running here.

I apprecaite your answer and the time you took to look for me.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Thanks again
