Simple answer No

Do not use that build.prop

Code: Select all
How to replace build.prop on the 1st gen Scroll - NOT Excel

It was designed for the first ever Scroll Tablet, not the Capacitive, Excel or even Essential Scroll tablet.

Although the process to replace it is okay, you will first need to pull your own "build.prop" from you device.

If you can, pull it and upload it here, then we can take a look ;)

I didnt think it would work!, i have messed around with android quite alot on various devices, So far ive rooted the scroll and have installed "build prop editor and had a nose around. I changed the dpi and increased the dalvik.heapsize wich has improved games(so far), i will upload my build.prop when i get home thanks.

here a couple of build .props from my old resistive scroll http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59133676/scroll ... 0props.zip
dont push them to your capcitive as you will either bootloop or lose touchscreen but you can compare with yours
ones from fun (cyanogenMod) the other from warpedflash
