can u get on IRC, now - then i can help OR try this,

go to system/etc/install-recovery.sh

rename the file (install-recovery.sh) to install-recovery.sh.old

Reboot into OS, then

Re-flash CWM - like you did b4 (ie Warpedflash's 'how to') CWM should be back.

if you have not done this:-

go to system/etc/install-recovery.sh

rename the file (install-recovery.sh) to install-recovery.sh.old

this must be done otherwise it will flash back 'stock recovery' on re-boot

Fixed and restoring to my latest backup - Thanks Charlie!

In retrospect... installing the updates was my ultimate downfall.... but in light of the new discovery.. I am thinking now there is no real way to brick these things without a hammer

Ahh the love of indestructable (and open-source programmed hardware)!

Unlike closed source devices *looks at Apple specifically* droid devices seem to be pretty hard to screw up. I'm sure there *is* a way, but you'd have to be pretty daft to pull it off!

Your welcome, you have helped me loads in the past too.

My view on 'Bricking' - If you know enough stuff to get out of a bad situation, then bricking is not possible - but some things need know-how on, e.g ADB to put some things back right. - So if you can not use ADB (for example) then technically you would have a brick. ;)
