@doncyp

I think @blueeagle69 means that you push the busybox file (from here --> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54025484/busybox) to /system/bin (if you still have issues with getting CWM5 on - push that busybox file to /system/xbin)

@blueeagle69 - Is that right?

Then, once busybox is on we can get CWM5 on - Then you are almost home and dry.

yes mate, that's right. As long as Busybox is already installed you can simply overwrite the existing binary.

If you cannot find Busybox anywhere, then you can try this.

Push my Busybox binary to /data/local
cd /data/local/
busybox --install -s /system/xbin (not sure about this XBIN)
CD /system/xbin/
Chmod 0755 ./busybox


(I am not sure about the xbin folder tbh. Mitre said, install to /system/bin, but other forums seem to think otherwise.
One said to install to /system/xbin
And the other said /system/bin

I hope this makes sense.

ok all looking good restoring 2.3 clean!!!!!, its restored and in to os!!

Thanks so much guys saved me another £120 lol :)
I used android commander to copy busybox to system\bin must say its a whole lot easier and quicker to do anything adb with this prog, u guys used it?
Anyway thank u all so much, i'm gonna mod and tweak the crap out of it now i know i can restore backups , love it!!

Nil bloody nil - lfc fan here :(

Just a quicky, tried some build.prop's but stuck on adnroid loading screen very jerky, have restored a few times so not panicing now, but can u reccomend one that would work well on excel?
