Your tab is an older model - There should be a model number printed on the back of the case.

UPDATE: I see form your 1st post you used fwdn - There is NO way back! Sorry but you have a brick.

Hi Charlie, I have no question about your diagnosis, but just as a matter of curiosity I started out with a Scroll Essentials which looks identical to an Excel from the outside but the early Essential did have a telechips processor. 4Gig nand and 256 ram. Probably of no use to our friend but may help to clarify just exactly what he has bricked.

Incidentally, SO are currently describing the Essential as now having an A8 cortex same as the Excel but only 1 Ghz whereas my Excel tops out at 1.2Ghz.

Looking at it more and the info you have given, you have (99% sure) a MiScroll

--> http://www.storageoptions.com/products/ ... s/miscroll

SO - Do have a FW update for it, but it's not really going to be much good for you, but I will post the link for you.

It does seem that you are unfortunately flogging a dead horse unless you can come up with some specifics.
The pictures of your tablet may look like a "Scroll" but there are hundreds of Chinese manufactured 'look-a-likes' all with many differences.

We are struggling, because you have not given any solid information about the tablet that anyone can work with.
Try answering these questions.

1. How old is this tablet?
2. What is the name of the supplier you bought it from?
3.Do you have an operators booklet - what does it say this tablet is? :?
