Originally i increased it to 32, djsteve who is doing the 2.2 port suggested upping it and he has done alot more android based stuff than me so I listened lol. if its having issues yea reduce it but it seems to be fine for mos pople. thats the good thing about android lol, you just do what you want to :D

Perhaps you should alter your guide here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=147 to correctly say that you have altered the dalvik.vm.heapsize, and not the dalvik cache, as this may cause others to query it

I changed the Dalvik Heapsize on mine to 38M (was 46M) and the random stuttering on MP3's went away :D
