I have sent the following email to
support@storageoptions.com ... I suggest all v1.01 users do the same!
-------------------------------
Hello.
Myself, and many others using firmware v1.01 of the Scroll, have issues where the market suddenly stops downloading after a few hours after a factory reset. We see the small downloading icon, briefly, but then we see the message "download unsuccessful" flash up and the application is never downloaded. This happens with any application after a short period after a full factory reset.
Again, the only thing that works is a full factory reset. But after about 5 or 6 hours, the market then stops working again.
Fixes attempted:
1) Reboot
2) Clearing various caches and data of various google apps
3) Starting again with a new, virgin, google account
4) Uninstalling updates in market app
5) Playing around with wifi (and data) settings
6) Logging in and out of Google Talk
7) Hammering a download of a new app (50 times one after the other)
8) Clearing cache in maintenance menu
9) Unmounting internal flash and external SD card
10) Waiting for various lengths of time, from 10 minutes to 2 days
My Google account is fine, as my Desire HD can download happily all the time.
Also, someone said it could be Google blocking me as my account has paid-for apps on it and the Scroll Tablet is "free apps only". However, when I created a virgin Google account, the exact same thing happened.
Not having access to the Market means I can not continue to use this device.
Please note that the device is running 2.1
Also, please not again that this is ONLY happening with users that have v1.01 of your firmware installed on their tablet.
