Hopefully someone knows a way round this.

Scroll 8" wont boot, stuck on welcome screen, recovery just goes to Scroll screen and hangs.

Can talk to the device with adb but can't get a shell when stuck at welcome, get -
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -

When stuck in recovery, can talk with fastboot, result, I thought.

Tried getting images from http://scrolltabletforum.co.uk/site/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=779
Flashed recovery with fastboot flash recovery, but no joy trying to get into recovery.

Fit of desparation and tried flashing system image,
fastboot flash system mtd6_system.img, but says it's too long?

Any ideas? anyone got images from an 8" Scroll?

Start by explaining what you did to break it in the first place, and maybe we can find a way to repair it

Last thing done on the machine was my wife playing Angry Birds, so it must be her fault!

Probably more relevant was me attempting to flash the stock 1.02s recovery image earlier yesterday using the instructions at viewtopic.php?f=15&t=779.

When I got the tablet 2nd hand, recovery wasn't working, hence why i was trying to get recovery working.
Pretty sure I followed the instructions correctly, but I will hold my hands up that I was thinking about flashing system images at the time, did I type flash_image system instead of recovery? I dont think so, but..........

Having said that I did get another boot after that as my wife was genuinly playing angry birds after that!

Having read a little further on adb, it seems that my system partition is empty.
"adb pull system ." says there are no files. On my android phone I get lots of files copied across.

Just to confirm I finally resolved this by getting a new 8" Scroll and getting Stock images
