I hae been using my Scroll alot lately to read books. I had it in my bag today and when I took it out I saw the screen has cracked! When I switched it on the touchscreen was doing things to the screen (scrolling by itself) but when I touch it nothing happens.

I cannot use the touchscreen at all, I have read about using the Scroll with a cracked screen - but this is not an option for me as I don't have a mini keyboard to lug around with me.

Does anyone know if Storage Options would replace it? I bought it in December.

I've not done anything to the system in terms of software/firmware. Except I once did a system restore on the device so I could use the Market Place.

Best bet is to contact them and see what they say. the cost of the screen could be as much as a new unit

I'm afraid this is not covered by the warranty offered with the Scroll. We are unable to offer a repair service for the screen on the Scroll as the cost would be almost equal to the price of a new unit.

All may not be lost

I have contact with various manufacturers who make tablet pc's. If we can find out who actually makes the screens there is a chance I can find one that will match it at a reasonable price.

I took my scroll apart some months ago but diddnt bother to look at the rear of the screen, which should have marks on it identifying the maker. If anyone has took theirs apart, or has one apart at the moment could they please look on the rear of the screen for any numbers/letter printed on it and let me know. Ill then ask around and see if anyone recognises it.
