Video playback stops after asbout 5-secs

Sorry another question/issue.
Got some AVI movies on the SD card. When i play them using the built-in video player they only play for 5-10 seconds then the Scroll goes back to the Home screen.
I downloaded Rockplayer and this plays fine.(apart from annoying ads and red R in top left of screen)
Any settings I should look at regarding built-in player?

I would reccomend mVideoPlayer. Much better.

This is definitely a case of YMMV. I've tried all the players that are usually recommended and I have found the Scroll's default player to have the best quality. It's just a shame there are no zoom options or anything.

I have the screen set to timeout after 2-min, and the 'How long shutdown' at 10-min.

I have the exact same problem on my 7" Scroll, I've just read through the posts and can't work out what I need to do to fix the problem, why doesn't the player that comes with it work ?
