Skype

I read on the Android Pit forum that someone with an HTC had got Skype to work by editing the "build.prop" file:
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=1 changed to ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
Then restart tablet.
I have found the file and can edit it using ES File Explorer but it wont save.
Any ideas?

skype works fine on my scroll.

There are quite a few people like me that are having problems with Skype. It says it is signing in but doesn't.
The edit I was asking about is supposed to cure this.
What does your "build.prop" line have, 0 or 1 ?
What version of Skype are you running, perhaps an older one will work.

i have warpedflashes buildprop v140 on my 2.1 scroll that line is not on there
look in buildprop .old which was the original for my 2.1 v1.02 scroll and it is in there reading ro.kernel.android.checkjni=1
i didnt put skype on but thought i would give you the readings good luck
