Scroll 7 inch capacitive audio recording issues

Hi Everyone,

I have a 7 inch Scroll with capacitive screen. The device is great as a web browser, ebook and comicbook reader. However any attempts to record audio with the preloaded software results in recordings with lots of hiss that are barely audible. I have tried downloading 3rd party audio software and the result is the same.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it the nature of the microphone or is it simply faulty?

Any advice is greatly appreciated :D

Hi yeah,
I'm having the same problem the mic works but is very quiet had not noticed untill a few days ago have been to busy getting other things to work, put the talking tom cat on for my other half and a no go.
I thought it might just be I've got a faulty scroll thinking of returning it, but was hoping to find a way of turning the mic up a tad but no info on where?.
Any help would be appreciated, mines the resistive screen.
