Home Screen Buttons not workings

Don't know what is happening to this tablet but now my Home Screen buttons are unresponsive. Back and Menu buttons work fine, but if I want to go to the Home Screen I have to keep pressing the Back button until I get there.

Did you do anything immediately before this happened?
Might give us a clue

It seems to be working after a reboot. Was trying to root the tablet with no luck at all. Thanks
