BROWSER CRASHES
Posted: September 30th, 2011, 12:54 pmI had my 2.1 Android Scroll for 7 months without any problems, then all of a sudden this week my browser started to freeze and if I wanted to look at another website, all I can get it the page not found / check connection etc page on the browser. A switch off and on only solved the problem for up to five minutes. Now I know its not my wifi as the laptop is working fine at the same time. Storage options were not picking up the phone yesterday and also today. They emailed me and advised a restore factory settings re-boot which I did to no avail and I also downloaded Opera Mini which still suffered the same problem. Maplin have agreed to exchange the unit for a new MiScroll to avoid a total refund on the keypad and mini HDMI lead I purchased along with the Scroll.
But from reading other posts this is not an isolated problem. Am I also likely to suffer the same fate with the Mi Scroll?
Also it is possible for me to download the apps on the Android market to my PC and transfer on the SD card without too much grief, and does the BBCi Player work OK with the MiScroll, as there seems to be some discussion that the Scroll should not really be considered as an Android device with the market place out of bounds.
