No Camera with using Skype

Hi

I've just got a Scroll Excel "copy" a tablo TAB7012.

I'm pretty sure it's the same model, all works fine apart from when I try to use Skype Video. The Skype client insists that it is using the "rear" facing camera (which doesn't exist) so I get no video calls. The Skype audio works fine, but I can't "force" Skype to use the "front" facing camera as it doesn't see it as an available option. If I try and use the camea after a failed Skype call, I see a message of "Sorry! The application Camera (process com.android.camear) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Has anyone been able to use/make a Skype video Call on their tab?

Hi,

As far as I know no one has found a fix for this, as it's more to do with Skype, rather than hardware.

There is a thread already on this, but I can not find it, at the mo'

Thanks Charlie, I note in your signiture block that you have "Full Market" does my tab not have full access to the Market? The reason I ask is 'cos I couldn't seem to download the free "Whatsapp" messenger app or the "TuneIn" internet radio app, both of which I'm currently running on my HTC mobile. Does the Scroll only have a limited market place?

The scroll It my sig. is not the Excel or tablo (it's one that came out over a year ago) - There is a way to get market working on the Excel, not sure if this will work on the tablo, see this post here
