Purchase market apps with different gmail a/c

Postby Rodders » January 13th, 2012, 2:29 pm

I have bought several apps for my new excel from the market with my account set up on my Scroll. My son liked the Scroll and I have bought him one for his birthday. i want to buy some apps from the market and install them on his Excel using my gmail a/c to pay for them. If I set up my gmail on his Excel then it appears to remember it and he will be able to buy things on my a/c for ever. Is there any way of solving this ie remove my a/c after I have dowloaded the relevant apps? I realise you can have more than one a/c set up at a time, but I don't want to leave my a/c available to him!

Not sure there is, not faced this problem, but will do in a few months, glad you have brought this up. Others must have the faced the same dilemma.

The only work around that I can think of is to set him up with his own gmail a/c and then attach a pre-paid credit card to it (think the Post-Office do them) top it up a bit so when it's spent it's spent and your son or you can top it back up when needed.

When I first setup my Excel, I had a problem with my Gmail account on the device that prevented me from downloading anything off of the market, I could not find a way to remove the account and put on a different one. The only way I had to reset the account was to do a factory reset so that there was no account associated with it and I was free to add one back in.
