Help With Changing ro.product.device=crane-evb

Hi all,

I am putting my hair out here - (not a lot left)

If I change this line of code in the build.prop (If you have an Scroll Excel Do NOT change this! )...

ro.product.device=crane-evb

...to anything else, I get into a boot loop. I have Googled so much and not found anything on this or seen anyone face this issue before.

If anyone can shed some light on this, I would be very grateful.

P.S. I don't need help getting out of the boot loop - I got that covered via using the ADB push cmd to put the original build.prop back.

If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful. I have never come across this issue before.

This is the only thing that is stopping (fingers crossed) the development of the "Excel Build.prop V1 - Access More Apps" mod for us all.
