i am trying to get hold of the springfair ap for my scroll essential tablet, as happens so often i get the "no mobile device" message, is there anyway of getting an ap for a tablet - short of getting someone with an android phone to get it and mail it to you, we are visiting the show tomorrow and i was really looking forward to using the ap.
https://market.android.com/details?id=c ... .app607255

are a lot of developers not aware of this issue ? or is there a reason why you cannot just download a file as an .apk right away

thanks for any help anyone can give. i did use the search box but have obviously not used the right keyworkds if people point me to loads of posts with similar issues

i cant read "real techie" replies so please treat me as really dumb - thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum
i see charlie has beaten me to it but here it is my drop box link :D http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59133676/Spring%20Fair-6.apk
either download the linked .apk on your pc copy to a sd card and insert into scroll
or use the scroll browser to download the linked .apk directly to your scroll
then just search for it in the search bar and install
you must go to settings /applications and tick the unknown sources box before you can install
i just tested it on my old scroll 2.1 runs fine
