Hi Guys

I have a Scroll Excel tablet that when I boot up always shows the following: "Sorry! Activity launcher (in application Launcher) is not responding 'Force Close' or 'Wait'

I just click wait and the device does come to life. Any ideas how to fix this at all would be welcome :D

Hi davefk,

I get this as well and I am sure that mitre is right about memory use.
I do the same as you and press wait and everything recovers OK.
I have noticed this happens if I try to refresh web pages because they have not fully loaded. (Impatience)
If I wait a little and let the Excel work at its own pace everything seems OK

Umm, I will try to look into this more, I have not had these issues & don't use a task killer, but I am not using the default home launcher, I wonder if that might be something to do with this?

What home launcher are you guys using?

I get this message sometimes, not using a task killer and with the standard launcher.

Cant seem to find the cause of it.

I get this 9 times out of 10 when starting my Excel.

I just press Force Close and it seems ok, but it's a little annoying/ off-putting.

Hi Charlie

I am not sure what launcher I am using I don't really know much about how to change a launcher so I assume I am using the one that came with the Scroll Excell. Can you tell me how to find out what launcher I am using?

Thanks

Hi Charlie,

[strike]Don't know which launcher it is but it's the one that came preloaded on my Excel.
Hope this helps.[/strike]

Have now installed 'Go-Launcher' and all the widgets and reskinning that comes with it.
Very smooth operation but still getting the force close or wait messages at bootup. Click wait and everything carries on OK.
