Also yes I know this is the wrong section but its the most active so leave iit here for now admin.

Right bare with me here.

I am talking to DJ_Steve of Dell Streak fame (http://android.modaco.com/content/dell- ... ease-post/ - see any post by him really. He released 2.2 before dell did by several months) and he has been helping me with getting various stuff working (or partially working) on the Scroll.

While talking to him I mentioned a possible 2.2 port and he said he would work on it if we could produce some money towards him getting a scroll, which in all fairness is kinda reasonable as proper development for something you don't own is a bitch. Neither he nor I can say for sure exactly how much functionality would be able to be carried across with this hopefully full market would make an appearance but there is a chance we may loose HDMI output for example.

The ball it totally in the community's court really. Someone might come along and do it next week for free but at the same time we may struggle with this for months and months as more cheap tablets are produced with better specs the focus will begin to shift from things like the scroll...

So the question is would you donate if it meant active 2.2 development occurring within a few days?
I trust him to do this if we were to donate towards getting him one he would not just bugger off.

DJ_Steve now has a scroll!
Consider the drive to get him a scroll closed!

lol, I will be happy to, but I have a few issues to get past at home first regarding red bills, I havent even had anything in paypal to donate to this site yet.

But I was thinking about this a few days ago, only with people from XDA, but if you already have contact with someone who can do it, then deffinately set it up. Having 2.2 would be great, and also might make it easier for him to port 2.3 some day too
