Drivers and Vista

I have finally decided to take the plunge and flash ICS on to an excel, tried to install CWM recovery before I started in case it all went wrong

Downloaded Suggsy CWM. bat file and then I started to hit problems. Device not found !!

I am seriously struggling to get my old vista laptop to speak to the excel, have searched the forum, Google has been my friend, have installed/uninstalled vast amounts of megabytes.

It is now turning me to drink. :|

I know I must sound as though I am as thick as mince, but is there an easy solution for a Vista 32bit, SP2 laptop with a not so techy owner.

Thanks

Mass storage USB transfer is no problem, can move files, titanium back up etc

just wondering if your folder that had your livesuite program has the drivers inside as mine did. so was thinking to start livesuite choose the.img then start livesuite it will prompt you to install drivers choos i will select option the navigate to the livesuite drivers folder let it install them then DO NOT flash the firmware just pull out the usb turn off livesiuite and you should then be able to do suggsys .bat

No joy Mitre,

Everything works ok in Livesuite, remove USB cable, close livesuite.

Plug in USB again, start excel, Windows installing drivers, drivers not found.

Suggsy .bat file , device not found.

May have to go to brothers house, try on Ubuntu.
