Permanently logged in to my hotmail account

Whenever I go in to my email account I get in straight away without logging in. I cannot see on the email screen any way of logging out of my account. Please could someone tell me if this is possible and if so how to do it.

If you're using the email client on the scroll the app runs as a background process and checks email regularly (Which then nicely gets indicated on the top task bar)... You can close the email app using task manager to shut it off (It only logs on to check email then logs off again, the same way outlook does)

Sorry for being a nuisance. Gone in to manage applications. Deleted the email one. Now I am getting a message new email received, but it is not showing in the list. I don't think I should have deleted that one.
How do I get that back ansd my email list was still permanently showing

what do you mean you deleted it? you should only have had the options force stop and clear data?
email on android is designed to always connect and download the latest emails the best way to stop it is not sign into it in the first place lol.
If you open the email application there should be a way to remove your account or turn the notifications off.

Has anyone discovered how to remove/delete an unwanted email account?

I can't find any optiong to do that, only to add a new one.
