What would happen if i tried to reset using a pin in the reset hole, do you think its worth trying that?
I am not sure if the Excel has a reset hole or if it is the microphone - ? I have never had to find out myself. However, if you were unable to reset to factory mode from recovery as described in my earlier post then I don't see how this would help.
If you try then at your own risk unless someone else on the forum knows more detail about the reset hole on an Excel.
EDIT update:
I lifted this direct from Storage Options help pages:
Q. How do I reset my Scroll Excel A4.0 tablet?
A. Press and hold the physical ‘Menu’ button, also press and hold the physical ‘Power’ button. Keep both buttons held until you see an Android logo.
Some options in red will appear at the top of the screen and current status appears in blue at the bottom. Press ‘Volume +’ repeatedly to highlight Wipe Data/ Factory Reset and press ‘Power’ to select the option.
Repeatedly press ‘Volume +’ to highlight Yes - Delete All User Data and press ‘Power’ to select.
When formatting is complete, you will be returned to the main menu. Press ‘Volume +’ repeatedly to highlight Wipe Cache Partition and press ‘Power’ to select.
When Cache Wipe Complete is shown on screen, you can highlight Reboot System Now in the same manner, then press ‘Power’ to select. After a few seconds Scroll Excel will reboot.
