Messed up Scroll Basic Plus v2

Hi,
Any help/advise would be much appreciated as I've messed up my Scroll Basic Plus v2 after changing the dpi (with “resolution change / Density” app) in my efforts to get the Chrome browser to work.
It loads up fine but when I get to the locked screen I receive the first pop-up message “unfortunately, System UI has stopped” I clear this by clicking the OK button that accompanies the message , once I've unlocked the screen I just get the wallpaper with non-stop pop-up message “unfortunately, Launcher has stopped”.
Was hoping that a reset will fix my problem but no luck so far as I’m unable to get the Android Man & menu as mentioned in the instruction of which is supplied on Storage’s FAQ page:
Is there a specific state (on, off or locked screen) the tablet needs to be in to attempt a physical reset ?
Thanks.

Q. How do I reset my Basic Plus v2 tablet
A. Press and hold the Power and Volume down button for 10 seconds, release, wait a further 5 seconds, the Android Man should appear, press the volume down button for the reset menu
Some options in blue text will appear at the top of the screen. Release the Home button. Press Volume – repeatedly to highlight “wipe data” and press Menu to select the option.
Repeatedly press Volume – to highlight “Yes -- delete all user data” and press Menu to select.
When formatting is complete, you will be returned to the main menu. Press Volume – repeatedly to highlight “factory reset” and press Menu to select.
When “factory reset finished” is shown on screen, you can highlight “reboot system now” in the same manner, then press Menu to select. After a few seconds Scroll Basic Plus will reboot.

Thanks.
