Hi guys - having a bit of bother with a excel 11 i've been handed.

history unknown, but it was rooted at some point - My brother in law only wanted to use it to watch " digital copies" - i.e from legit dvd's that come with the facility to download the feature movie direct to a tablet....

Anyway, the app that is used to play these movies doesn't work on a rooted device......I had planned to un-root it as he has no requirement for a root......

Installed CWM recovery v5.5.0.4......Now its boot looping!

So my question - How do i remove the root, an/or flash it back to standard ICS ?

Hi wozzad,

I have deleted your duplicate post as we discourage such practices which are explained in the rules and won't get you help any quicker by posting a request multiple times.

If you had looked for Excel II you would have found this post which went up 25th June: which informs you of your chances regarding this model.

I hope someone can come to your aid - let us know how you get on.

EDIT UPDATE I have reason to suspect that with the introduction of the Excel II that the NAND partitions may have completely changed to that of the original Excel which can cause CWM to be installed on a system partition thus overwriting it and probably the cause of your boot loop.

Perhaps someone with a bit more knowledge on this can say if this is correct or not.

Just to update -

I have the ongoing help of a good friend who is rather more knowledgeable about these things.

It currently appears that the nandd, nande, nandf partitions are all missing........That can't be a good thing right?

Anyone want to help me ?

I think at the present time you may have to badger Storage Options for a copy of the firmware.
They are usually reluctant to help with things like this but I do know they have on occasion sent people links to download the original stock image.

Good luck. :)
