Scroll Pocket Alarm - Calendar Link

Got the pocket scroll hoping to replace my Palm organiser with something better.

However I cannot manage to get an appointment in my calendar to use the system alarm. I have tried several "fix" widgets and alternate calendar apps to no avail.

The system alarm wakes up the Scroll from standby and does not drain the battery - some of the other apps force the cpu to stay on and the battery only lasts between 4 and 10 hours depending on the app.

I can enter an appointment and set the alarm clock - two actions and very easy to make mistakes, but really I want to just set an alarmed appointment.

Some friends have other tablets and phones where this works as expected.

So does anyone know of an app that works on the Scroll Pocket or a way to fix the default android calendar.
