Scrol Plus 55975 - Start Up Loop
Posted: November 5th, 2014, 6:24 pm
This is my first help request in the forum.
I have a Scroll Plus Tablet, Par No. 55975.
A couple of days ago it would not log onto my wifi/broadband system, so I reset the tablet by pushing in the reset hole on the back of the tablet. The tablet started to reboot but after the balloon picture screen closed and the android logo appeared, that's as far as the booting up went. The android logo was continually refreshing but the the boot process would go no further.
I then reset the tablet completely by using the on/off key and + volume key, but this did not solve the problem, I then reset the tablet to factory standard, but again the problem remains.
I am now thinking that the firmware is corrupted somehow.
I assume that I shall need to upload a new version of the firmware to resolve the problem.
Am I correct in my thinking? I am new to tablets so not sure about this. I have lots of experience with software installations and operating systems on windows and Linux machines, but none with tablets.
I cannot locate a firmware for my Scroll 55975 on the SO site. Can anyone direct me to where I can get a copy of the correct firmware? I believe my tablet has Jelly Bean 4.1 originally installed.
If the correct firmware is available, what do I have to do to install it on my Scroll?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gary
