Sorry, I'm beginning to spam the Help forum (second request...). Will slink off with my tail behind my legs after this post...

Basically I have been trying to get ad-hoc network support on the Scroll, by replacing my wpa_supplicant file from system\bin. Sadly, while screwing around, I managed to delete my original... Could anyone send me over a copy? There will be much love for you if possible...

I honest-to-God bought this Scroll for my 92-year-old gran, so we can send her messages and pictures via Wifi (think of a dumbed-down Facebook ). After purchase we discovered her home's Wifi network is not strong enough, so if I can get Ad-Hoc working, I can then hook this up to an old Windows Mob phone for Internet. When I solve this - and I will! - I will post back with the solution.

But until then... I really need the original file... I'm on firmware 1.01, and if you can help, there's a kiss from a 90-year-old coming your way!

PS: If I can get hold of the file I think I've solved it... Just need to make some tweaks...

The advantage to Scroll users is that if you are on the move, without a Wifi connection, you can use your WinMob/Android phone to create a connection, and use your tablet to surf the web.

Thankyou so much! That's fixed my Wifi problem - it was stuck in a cycle of "can't scan networks", you're a star JimmyW!

I will post back later tonight or tomorrow if I manage to get ad-hoc on the go. I recognise this is a niche need, but hopefully it will help a fellow Scroller in the future too!
