DELETE APK PROGRAM'S ON NAND

Postby brianzion » January 28th, 2011, 1:06 pm

hi all
just a quick question the programs i have on the internal nand once they have been installed can i remove the apk file which i download to the nand? like in windows? (store them in a file on my pc for re-use if need be?) just want to free up space i have a larger sd card now so my main storage will be there.
Best regards brian.

I am now transferring all my .apk files to my sdcard. I have download apps installer which allows installation from the sdcard. I got apps installer from:
http://www.freewarelovers.com/android/a ... -installer

@ bitsink
i done the same but i used the pc i had 2GB to move to 4GB card. you can use the default installer to install from sd card in the app installer you change the search to /sdcard go to settings > scan folder and type /sdcard then press ok and it will scan the sd card :geek:

You can put App's on the SD Card but do they actually get installed there and run from the SD Card?!?!?!?

As i think with 2.1 they just get installed in /data/app on the data partition of the internal memory.

mmmm sure they install to the nand not sd card on android 2.1 like if you install a program on windows from a external drive/flashdrive it gets installed on c drive for example.
