Saving onto SD Card

Great Forum ! Would have been totally stuck without it having got my new Scroll but not having much of a clue how to get it working properly.

Okay, so I downloaded v 1.2 from Storage web site which solved the battery problem and gave me the Market icon. Everything Hunky Dory.
Got a 16GB micro SD card and wanted to load some movie clips and music ( which is mostly what I'll be using it for). Run up against not being able to see any file structure so had a browse here on the Forum and found advice on downloading a file explorer app.
Downloaded "Astro" which is working fine.

Just one problem. I'm not sure which folder to save the clips into ?

When I open the "sdcard" file that Astro shows, it shows two further folders "DCIM" and "LOST.DIR" as well as a little box labelled "update". Within the "DCIM" folder is another folder "100ANDRO".
Should I save the media just into the "scdard" file so it shows up alongside the above, or do I save it into one of these folders ?

Cheers

G

I use the built in video player to play my video's, all i have to do is to save the file on the root of the SDCARD and the player picks them up and plays them.

Hope this helps

make your own folder on the sd card call it video or what you like you can do that on the pc or using the Astro app. :)

Cheers for that ! It seems to have worked.
What threw me was after plugging in the USB pen and using Astro to move the movie clip from the USB pen to the SDcard and then removing the uSB pen, when I used the "Video" icon on the desk top there was nothing there.
However, after shutting down and re-booting the Scroll, lo and behold, its there. Looks like that was the step I was missing out !

Many thanks !
